Hello My Name Is...

Mr. Rocco Mansueto

My name is Rocco Mansueto (aka Mr. Rocco) and I am the School Counselor at Big Ridge Elementary School. Prior to my position at Big Ridge I served as 9th/10th grade counselor at Notre Dame High School (Chattanooga, TN) and 6th/7th/8th grade counselor at Cape Henry Collegiate School (Virginia Beach, VA). I have my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my graduate degree in School Counseling (K-12).

Throughout the school-year I will be making my way into the classrooms conducting Classroom Counseling Lessons. Topics will have a wide range, but each topic will focus on one of the following areas:

1. Academic Development

2. College and Career Readiness

3. Social and Emotional Development

Ø Tier I: 80-90% Universal support (i.e. Classroom Counseling Lessons)

Ø Tier II: 5-10% Targeted support (i.e. Small Group Lessons with 8-10 Students)

Ø Tier III: 1-5% Intensive support (i.e. Individual Counseling Lessons)
