Big Ridge Elementary is nestled in the foothills of Hixson, Tennessee.  Built in 1978, the school has earned multiple awards including Blue Ribbon status, as recognized by the Department of Education, and also Best of the Best Public School, as recognized by the Chattanooga Times-Free Press.  Big Ridge is also a Tennessee Level 5 Reward school.

Big Ridge is led by our principal, Mrs. Shelly Jackson.  Mrs. Ashley Speicher is our Assistant Principal. BRE has a current enrollment of 510 students.
